Meet the Chief Learning Officer
Nancy Eke-Agu is an experienced AI Transformation Leader, Governance Expert, Policy Specialist, and Advocate for Responsible AI, with almost two decades of combined leadership in Project and Programs Management, Digital transformation, AI risk management, and Technology strategy. She currently serves as Principal AI Consultant & Governance Lead at JDZ Technology Consulting, where she provides AI governance and risk mitigation solutions to organizations, ensuring ethical, compliant AI deployment.
In addition to her consulting work, Nancy is the Chief Learning Officer of the Artificial Intelligence Academy, where she focuses on AI education, capacity-building, and fostering the next generation of AI leaders, particularly from underrepresented communities with the main objective of simplifying complex tech concepts, offering courses, workshops, and mentorships to professionals, students, and enthusiasts alike, thereby providing accessible, high-quality education to a global audience.
She is also a Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP), Washington Fellow, contributing to global AI Policy frameworks and ethical standards through her involvement in CAIDP and other initiatives. She has consulted for the United Nations Parastatals such as UNESCO, guiding policy frameworks in Artificial Intelligence.
Also, as the City Lead for Women in AI (WAI), Nancy advocates for the inclusion of women and marginalized groups in the AI field. She is dedicated to lowering the barrier to emerging tech in underserved communities by promoting inclusion in the tech industry. believes in empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in an AI-driven future.
Nancy holds the certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), AI Transformation Leader (CAITL), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) certifications.
She is a LinkedIn Top Artificial Intelligence voice, a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Canada (ICD) and her work has earned her several nominations and awards, such as the Role Model in Tech Awards 2024 by Digital Nova Scotia, the Diversity Champion Awards 2025 by the Women in AI Global, and she was recently nominated for Canada's Top 100 Black Women to Watch 2025.
